This is an example of a lonely hearts scam. Here’s how it works. Scam artists pose as young women on chat sites, dating sites, etc. They chat men up, pretend to fall for them almost immediately, and eventually hit them up for money so they can visit.
How do you know it is a scam and not someone genuinely interested? Because they follow a script, and if you look at sites where real men have been conned, you can read 50 emails that are almost identical
